Beginner FAQ

Do I need money to start learning?

No. Every video and resource on this page is free, and both exchanges offer demo modes where you practise with fake money. You can learn for weeks without depositing a cent.

Can I practise trading for free?

Yes — that's exactly what demo (paper) trading is for. You get live markets and a fake balance. Week 5 of the roadmap is dedicated to it.

What's leverage?

Borrowed money that multiplies your position — and your losses. 10x leverage means a 10% move against you wipes the position. It's how most beginners blow up, which is why the roadmap keeps you on spot and demo first.

Should beginners trade futures?

Not with real money. Learn futures mechanics on demo only. If you can't stay profitable on spot, leverage just multiplies the losses.

How much should I start with?

Only what you could lose entirely without it affecting your life. Many people start with less than the price of a night out — the goal of your first months is learning, not income.

Is crypto risky?

Yes — genuinely. Prices are extremely volatile, the market is largely unregulated, and you can lose everything you put in. That's not a disclaimer formality; it's the honest starting point. Learn first, start small.
